2025 Occupational therapy group programs

Group therapy sessions are held face-to-face at the CB Ability Office.

participants will be placed in a group by our therapists according to the following criteria:

  • Skill Level

  • Age

  • Compatibility

  • Availability of Participants and Therapists

Cost will be determined on the number of participants per group. groups may be mixed gender.


LEGO® Club – Facilitator led LEGO® Based Therapy Programs

Using LEGO® bricks as a tool, group participants will develop fine motor skills, social skills, visual perception and executive functioning skills (e.g. organisation, time management, problem solving, flexibility, emotional control, impulse control, attention control).

  • 10-session program (held fortnightly over school term time)


Gaming THERAPY GROUP

In gaming group, we will use different games such as board games, movement/physical games, online games (e.g. Roblox/Minecraft) or card games whilst working on our social skills, self-regulation, executive functioning, impulse control and body awareness.

Life skills therapy Group

Our life skills groups are separated into two age groups:

  • Grade 5 to 7

  • Grade 8 and above

In these groups we will have a focus on practical life skills. Whilst completing practical tasks, group members will be developing social skills, independent daily living skills (e.g. cooking, personal and household hygiene, money management, safety skills) and executive functioning skills (e.g. planning, time management, task initiation and completion, organisation, self-monitoring).
